Trash those layouts!!

Okay, okay! It's not what you think! This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is to recycle!! We want you to use anything you can recycle on your layouts! Scraps or anything you can recycle!

This challenge is perfect! I remember during our baby shower, as I was opening presents, I remember thinking about how cute all the gift bags were. I saved all the bags and wanted to use them for my layouts for the baby shower. Almost a year later, I still haven't started the scrapbook, so this was definitely a good way for me to get going on the project!

For this layout, I used the top trim of the bag along with all the small lettering and images.

The star background of this layout was from a bag which I wasn't able to take a photo of. The ribbon the tag is from the bag's handles.

The background of this layout are all the little images from the bottom of the bag.

The caption of the layout was from the top print of the bag and the rope and bow are from the handles.

The blue striped background is what I used from the bag.

The base of the layout is from the bag. The ric rac is a handle from a different bag.

The base of the layout is from the bag and the bow is from a different bag.

The final two layouts were created with random scraps I had from my DCWV and Making Memories stashes.

Stop by this week and show us how you recycle on your layouts!

Snow!?

I've got tons of scrapping to do! As part of my resolution, I wanted to finish a lot of my books for special events, but when I take so many pics, its so hard not to make layouts for new ones!

This is my son's first interaction with snow. He wasn't so crazy about it. At home, I can't keep him still long enough to change his diaper. Once I plopped him down on the snow, he just sat there staring at it.

I was inspired by Burlap and Buttercup's Sketch with a Twist Challenge. The challenge is to have distress and tears on the layout, and here is the sketch!

8 Months old!

Today my little guy is 8 months old! I've been creating a layout for him each month, but with the crazy holiday season, I've had a little bit of catching up to do.

MM MM Good!

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories' is to create a recipe layout! This isn't your typical recipe layout, this is all about food!!!

Back in high school, I was a huge baker! I made scones, cheesecakes, cookies, cupcakes, but the most popular thing I made was my Chocolate fudge with Toffee bits! I've always aspired to run my own bakery, so I took photos of my goodies in hopes to sell them someday! I dug up these pictures and used it for this layout.

I used some MME paper from my stash for the base, rosette, and little rolled up embellies.  The aged index cards are from Rusty Pickle. I used Thickers and Scenic Route alphas as well!

It's a brand NEW year!

This month's challenge at Scrap Our Stash is "NEW"! It can be a NEW theme, like NEWborn, NEW Years. It can also be something NEW you haven't tried before. For me, my NEW technique is creating this circle flip up book to give to my hubby for our 3 year wedding anniversary.

I used DCWV's Heritage Stack, MME's Lush, and Solid Cardstock from my stash. I used my scallop scissors and ribbon from my stash to add details.

January is Birthday Month!

I, along with a handful of my closest friends are celebrating birthdays this month! I guess the January babies just tend to gravitate together!!

I creates these three Joy Fold cards using basic cardstock, My Minds Eye's Lush collection, and embellishments.

I wanted the cards to be bold and bright, yet not too busy looking. MME's Lush collection was perfect for the project! The different colors are unique, but they compliment each other.

The front of the card.

The insides. The right flap is for writing a greeting or message.

Instead of doing more designs in the inside, I created a small pocket perfect for a gift card!!

Hope you enjoyed these little cards! Come back soon for more!
