BLING

This week at Lasting Memories, we want to see BLING!!

I've been waiting for my brother's homecoming photo to do this LO! I was about to do a completely different LO when it finally arrived! I kept it pretty simple so the photo would be the focus!

Now head over to Lasting Memories and show us your take on the challenge!

P.S. This is also a sneak peek for True XOXO's November challenge. Can you guess what it would be?

Cards for Izzy

(this post will stay on top till October 21st, pls scroll down for all new posts, thank you!)

Taken from Lasting Memories' Challenge Blog

"Hi there! As most of you know, Evanna's daughter has been diagnosed with Leukemia. When Evanna emailed me last week, I just felt heartsick and wondered what could I do? So, after a lot of thought, I'm going to run "Cards For Izzy" and reach out to all our fellow blogging friends to send a card to little Izzy. All cards can be mailed to me at:

Cards For Izzy
c/o Karen Wilson
PO BOX 438
Willow Beach, ONT
L0E 1S0
Canada

Cards do NOT have to be "Get Well", in fact, they can be absolutely ANYTHING that will put a smile on a little girl's face. If you have little ones and they want to make something, PLS add that in! The more cards, the better. I'm asking for all cards to be mailed out by October 21 and I will wait a couple weeks to be sure I get everyone's and then I will pkg everything up and send out to Evanna. Thank you all so very much - now let's make this little girl, and her family, smile."

TO all my craft buddies, please take the time to make a small little card. It'll brighten up this family's day and anything would help! If you're from the US and would like to send ME your card so I could just send it all in one package, just comment me here with your e-mail and I will send you my mailing address. Please send it out by the October 11th, so I can send it out by the 21st to Karen. Let's take this time to help out a fellow craft friend.

Dimensions

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is DIMENSIONS!! Show us what you do to add some POP to your layouts!!!

Here is my take on this challenge:

I love using stickers, buttons, and ribbons to create dimension.

Foam squares are perfect add ons to any sticker or paper cutouts to create dimensions!

XoXo Blog Hop and Lasting Memories Challenge all in one!

Welcome to the true XOXO blog hop! You must've arrived here from Linda.  If you happen to just stumble by, head to True XOXO where the fun begins!!!

I was challenged by Linda to create a monochromatic page! Perfect challenge to do more pages for my baby boy!! My design was inspired by this week's challenge at Lasting Memories' Tag challenge. The key was to have a tag somewhere on your page. I made large tags and used it for my photos. If you lift one tag, there are more photos underneath! It is a great way to have multiple photos on one layout!

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to check out my giveaway! You're next stop is Lindsey, but if you happen to get lost, here's a list of the hoppers!

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates

I am honored to be a Guest Designer for October at Scrap our Stash. For this month's Favorite Quote Challenge, I chose one of my favorite movie quotes, a well known quote said by Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump. "Life is Like a Box of Chocolates." I had the perfect paper for it, which I purchased from a neighborhood scrapbook store that was closing. I used purple Bazzill Cardstock and ribbon from my stash to finish the project off.

Recipe Time!

This week at Lasting Memories, the challenge is a recipe!
  • (1) photo
  • (2) embellishments of choice
  • (3) colors of choice
  • ( 4) SONG LYRICS of YOUR choice!

I chose a photo that my husband drew of him and I from a few years back.
For embellishments, I chose brads and stars.
I stuck Red, Yellows, and Blues for my 3 colors.
For the lyrics, I chose a song called Cartoon by Skye Sweetnam. To be honest, I don't know the song, but chose it because the lyrics fit the image perfectly!!!
