Silver Anniversary

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is another fun one - we're "Mining For Silver"!! We want to see something silver on those layouts this week

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make a layout for my parents' 25th anniversary, which they celebrated four years ago.

When they began planning this, they asked me to make the Save a Date and the Invites. I saved some of my supplies. I took the envelope for the invites and used it for this layout. I used May Arts SK01 to create the large bow.

I added some flowers to add dimmension.

The surprise is, when you open the envelope. I took one of their photos and displayed it.

I took tulle, corner punched paper, and placed the photo on top. I added some pearls as photo corners.

To tie it all together, I took vellum and attempted to write in calligraphy. I used May Arts' Lace with Pearl center Ribbon (384-34-09) for a trim on top!

Now head on over to Lasting Memories and show us how you use Silver in your Layouts!!

Daddy's Mini Me

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is "Black and White with A Splash of Colour"

My take is a black layout with hints of blue! I took this year's Father's Day pics of  my hubby and son. They were both wearing matching outfits!! TOO CUTE!

I used my black Thickers, gray buttons, and some bling to embellish.

I used ribbon, as always, to add some more POP.

Now head on over to Lasting Memories and show us your POP of color!

Golden!

This week at Lasting Memories, we are "Digging For Gold!" We want to see gold on those LO's. Whether it's gold paper, ink, brads - be creative - as long as we see gold on there somewhere!!

When I started this project, I knew I just had to buy DCWV's The Stardust Stack!

I absolutely love the gold they have on their papers! I used some pop dots to create a 3D embellishment using images from the DCWV stacks.

I used one of my favorite Thickers to add some gold alphas!

I also threw in some gold pearls!

Now head on over to Lasting Memories and show us your Golden projects!

Bows and Birthdays!

I am subscribed to tons of Crafting related pages on Facebook, so when I saw this on my news feed, I just HAD to recreate it!

This was created by Pink Paislee's Design Team Member, Andrea Budjack.
I absolutely LOVE the giant bow she created!

I'm not sure how she created the bow, so I just made a template using a scrap piece of paper.
Here is my take on her inspiration!

I love how she used the curled strips of paper, so I added that onto my card!

I made the card for my Sister In Laws upcoming birthday. I wanted a little spot for a gift card, so I took a piece of paper, cut a small slit. I glued the paper onto my card with a sample gift card attached so I know what to leave unglued. I added a Birthday Banner, and there is my gift card holder!

My next card is inspired by this Frosted Designs Sketch.

I gotta say, I love the bow so much, I had to use it again!

Using a tag and twine, I added a little "greeting"

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest creations!

Dancing with the......Fins?

This weeks challenge at Lasting Memories is simple - it's all about animals!! Zoo, pets, animals in the wild - be creative!!!

I wasn't able to find new photos of our cat that I haven't scrapbooked yet, so I made a LO of my son looking at our fish tank. He is totally entranced by this!! I can't wait to take him out to the aquarium.

I wanted to make the layout look like a framed page! I felt like it kind of added to the fish tank thing. Don't ask me how though! :)

So head on over to Lasting Memories and show us your WILD side!

Red and White

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is in honor of
CANADA DAY and INDEPENDENCE DAY
we want to see those
RED and WHITE only layouts
or
REDWHITE and BLUE only layouts.

Can't wait to see what you create!
You have until Saturday, July 7 at 9pm EST to enter.

This week we are being sponsored by...
a2zscrapbooking

Here is my take on the challenge!!

I'm a bit behind on my scrapbooking, so what better way to use red and white... VALENTINE'S DAY! Don't let the photo fool you! My reds do look a little pink! :)

I wanted to create a little bouquet of heart balloons.

I definitely took advantage of May Arts Lips ribbon. Matches the little kissy face he's making!

Happy 4th to all of you! Now show us your take on the challenge!
