Celebrate Good Times, Come On!!

We are celebrating at Lasting Memories this week.
We are playing with an awesome prize sponsored by ArtChix Studio

Helga was kind enough to offer this custom prize! 50 of these tags would go to the winner with THEIR NAME on it! How cool is that??

Now my take on this week's challenge!!

I am in the middle of finishing my son's Baptism scrapbook! I thought, what a perfect topic for this week's challenge.

I used DCWV's Linen Closet, May Arts ribbon, Thickers, and random items from my stash.

I wanted to keep it fairly simple, but added a ruffled ribbon to create a bit of dimension.

Now head over to Lasting Memories and show us how you celebrate!!

Ribbonaholics Anonymous!

I am such a huge ribbon addict!! When Lasting Memories Started to do giveaways, I reached out to Bethney from May Arts to see if they would be able to sponsor one of our Challenges!  The Ribbon lady is absolutely awesome! Not only did she provide us with the prize, she also gave each DT member some ribbon!

This is this week's prize!

Wanna know how to get your hands on those? Show us your layouts using ribbon! It's anything goes, just add some ribbon and link up!! Now onto my take on this week's challenge.

This is the ribbon I was provided.

This is my take on this week's challenge. I am a ribbonholic! I use ribbon on everything in many different ways! Here a placed a ribbon underneath the one from May Arts to create a trim. I topped it off with pearls to create dimension. (This LO was inspired by Frosted Designs' Sketch 33.)

I also made a little pocket to store my tag with my journaling.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Make sure you stop by Lasting Memories and link us your layouts for a chance to win May Arts Ribbon

I absolutely LOVE DCWV's new Celebration Stack!!

It is the perfect design of papers to make Birthday cards! With the versatility of this stack, I rarely have a need for embellishments.

I used a sticker for my sentiment

Threw in a few colored pearls

I also created rosettes and a party hat sticker.

For my second card, I was inspired by a current Frosted Designs' card sketch.

I have been a huge fan of pop dots recently. I used them to create dimension throughout this card.

I added some ribbon and a sentiment to finish up the project.

Thanks for stopping by again today!!

Happy Valentine's Day

I am a huge fan of Ribbon Carousel and their products. They are a local small business and have absolutely gorgeous products!!

I created a ribbon rose out of May Arts' Double Faced Satin in White. I added a couple of  Garnet pins from.

I used Studio G paper (great deals for a great price) and May Arts' Sheer Ruffle Edge Ribbon to add some design to the card.

I used my Crafter's Companion to create a designed and embossed edge.

Thank you all for stopping by and I hope you all have an amazing Valentine's Day!

Last Minute Valentine Tutorial

Supplies: White Cardstock, A Stamp of your choice (I chose a Studio G Heart Stamp), A variety of stamp pads, and Pop Dots.

Tools: Martha Stewart Score Board, Decorative Cutter, Glue, and Pen

1. I first trimmed my white cardstock to 4' x 8'. I repeated with 8 different cardstocks since I needed 8 cards.

2. I stamped my heart in various colors across the paper. I made sure to put each color in a different spot to create variety.

3. Here are my cardstock all stamped up.

4. I took my scoreboard and scored at 4'. I made note of the first full heart on the front of each card.

5. With Scrap pieces of cardstock, I stamped coordinating heart colors to the first heart on the card.

6. I cut out the hearts and wrote little messages on the them.

7. I used pop dots to glue the heart onto the card/

8. Here are the cards with their pop up hearts.

9. I wanted to add a little extra around the card, so I used a decorative cutter.

10. I trimmed all around the edges.

11. This is what the card looks all trimmed.

This is a quick and inexpensive way to make tons of Valentines. Asides from my tools, I spent less than $10 on my supplies. I made only 8 cards, but could have made as many as 50 if I needed to. The bonus, it took me about 30 minutes to create these cute little cards! Perfect for Moms who have to make cards for the whole class!

The Final Products!!

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my tutorial!

Love is in the Air and at Lasting Memories this week! This week's challenge is to have LOVE in the title in honor of Valentine's Day. It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day related, but can be if you'd like it to.

For this challenge, I used My Mind's Eye Page Kits.

I used dimensional adhesives and twine to create the heart cloud.

I grabbed some ric rac from my stash and flowers to embellish the page.

Now Head over to Lasting Memories and Tell us all about L-O-V-E!!!

Emily is a sweet little 6 year old girl that has battled Leukemia since before Chrstmas 2011. She has had to endure more pain in a few short months than most adults in their entire life. She has gone from Leukemia to Rotavirus, to pancreatitis, to kidney stones, then to shingles, not to mention over 300 pokes in her tiny little body! From chemo to blood draws to feeding tube. Her bone marrow is finally at 0.00% so she is now in remission and back at home! She is still going through 7 different chemotherapy treatments but is finally doing better! To read her full story and updates please visit the original Cards for Emily info post HERE

For this hop all we ask is that you hop through the list, then when you are done, link up your card for Emily back at Michelle's blog at Scrappin' For Kenzie. The link up tool is in the left hand side bar under "Cards for Emily". You will see her picture right above it.

REMEMBER: There is no requirement to leave comments or even hop through all of the blogs if you don't have time. There will be no personal candy at any of the stops along the way. That way you can get maximum inspiration to make your own card and have enough time to link it up and send it away!

There WILL be however a giveaway to one lucky winner that links up their card by February 29th 2012. You can link up as many cards/projects that you would like. The more you link up and send the more greater your chance is of winning a.....

$20 gift certificate to
