Quick LO before bed!

I wanted to do a sketch that shows my husband and I as babies and my little 3 month old. I tried to find the best pics where he resembles us the most. Honestly, he doesn't really look like me, but he is a spitting image of his daddy! Sorry the resolution isn't all that great, I took the pic at night! I used Creative Scrapper #171.

Maybe I will retake this image in the am!

Projects and Challenges

I took this pic of my boys. I was inspired by The Scrappiest: Sketch 132. I also wanted to do something different, so I used Burlap and Buttercups Shapes Challenge. For the shapes challenge, I cut out small hearts and linked them together.

This next one is for Sketchy Thursdays' 8.25 Challenge.

I created four playing cards using my parents, brothers, and my initial.

This final pic is a favorite of my parents. My mom wanted a pic of Ethan that she can put in her locker for work. I decided to create a frame for it. I will be entering this to Frosted Design's School Paper Challenge.

My Inspiration

Lasting Memories  is doing an Inspiration challenge. The goal is to create a LO about who or what inspires you. I automatically thought of two things, my parents and my absolute favorite quote! While digging through photographs a few days ago, I came upon a picture of my family from my high school graduation and wanted to scrap it. This photo is PERFECT for this challenge. I used Creative Scrapper's Sketch # 169 for this. Instead of using a photo, I decided to do a waterfall effect to showcase my quote and my photograph, plus a little journaling all in one spot.

I keep this quote close to my heart. "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land amongst the stars!

Time is going by too quickly!

It is the second to last weekend until I go back to work. I would like to say it is bittersweet, but it's really not. I don't know how I am going to be able to handle being away from my little guy. I get teary eyed here and there when I think about it, but a momma's gotta do what a momma's gotta do, ya know?

Onto my current projects. This first LO was inspired by Creative Scrappers' Sketch #168. I also incorporated Blog Quick Quotes' Banner Challenge and Burlap and Buttercups' Make Wave Challenge. This LO was from a family trip we took a few years ago to Ocean Shores. We took a trip there expecting some fun in the sun, but ended up having cold and cloudy weather! It was perfect kite flying weather, though!!

I made waves on the right side using 3 different colors of ribbon

This next one is a card I made for my brother in law and his girlfriend. They are expecting a little one soon.

This other project was inspired The Scrappiest Sketch #134. I flipped the Sketch to the side to accommodate this little cutie! This is my favorite project! How can you say no to that cutie's face!! I love it! :)

This final project is inspired by Sassy Lil' Sketches' Switch it Up Challenge. I was digging through old pics to Scrapbook and I found my senior year pic. I decided it needed a better home than a box.

Couldn't Stay Away too Long!!

You know I couldn't stay away too long!! My friend had a scrapbook party and it pretty much got me rolling again! This is what I created during her party using Shimelle's Sketch of the week. I was in a bit of a monochromatic mood and came up with this!

Lasting Memories has a "What's Your Secret" Challenge. Here's my little secret!

Pulling the top of my cloud reveals my journaling!

I have been in a monochromatic mood, so yesterday I created this inspired by Shimelle's Starting Point Challenge.

Again,, I used my favorite embellishments! Buttons, bows, bling, and flowers!!

This next one is a card I created today using Triplicate Trials Tuesday's TTT#7! This week's theme is fun and games, and although I am not a gambler, I did a little slot machine type of thing. This card could be given to anyone in your life who you are lucky to have, whether it be a friend, family, or significant other.

My final LO is from Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. This is their first sketch challenge, and it was FUN! The challenge was to follow their sketch and scrap about something fun or humorous. Of course, my little peanut one this!

My family is coming home from their month long vacation, with that, dr's appointments, and errands. I will be on a small hiatus.... but we all know I can't stay away too long!!

Final LO for awhile!!

I've got tons to do for the next few days so I had to put all the scrap stuff aside for awhile. I couldn't put it aside without first doing DCWV's August Stackaholic Challenge. I love their Stacks and have been trying to win more by doing monthly their challenges! This month they used Sketch Savvy's #60.

Here is my take on the sketch using DCWV's Summer Dream Stack!

I used American Craft Thickers for the title.

I created my rosette with two strips from the Summer Dream Stack, a button from Boxer Scrapbooks and pearls from Queen and Co.

I created these with buttons from Boxer Scrapbooks and pearls from Queen and Co.

These were created with buttons from Boxer Scrapbooks and braiding cord.

That's my final LO for awhile! Hope I win! :cross fingers:

4 LO's in 4 Hrs!

I think I broke a personal record!!!! 4 Layouts in 4 hours!!

This first one was inspired by Crop-Suey: August Challenge and I used Burlap and Buttercups' Sketch Challenge! It's pics of my younger brother and I from a few years ago. At 13, he was already taller than me and always tried to pick on me just cuz of my size. In reality, I'm the tougher one! ;-) I Titled this LO "Sibling Rilovely" because we do fight and bicker, but it's never serious! If you take a look at the bottom left corner, I took an extra piece of my denim paper and created a "pocket" for my journaling.

This sketch was inspired by Sketch Thursday's Guest DT Challenge. I used some pics that were taken from my husband and my little wedding. Both pics are of me and my husband with our brothers. For the sketch, I wanted to do a honey comb type of pattern. I didn't have a punch or stencil for the hexagon shape, so I took one of my son's toys which happened to have a hexagon shape as a stencil! :) I also used Martha Stewart corner punch! (Which I got from Ross for $3.99 so check them out!!)

This sketch is from Creative Scrappers' Sketch #167. The pics are from a family trip a few years back. It is the same trip from where my "Sibling Rilovely" Pics were taken.

This final one is inspired by a sketch from Elle Studio's 8.18 Challenge. I've had my eye on Echo Park's Little Boy Kit as soon as I saw it. Once I finally got it, I've been waiting for the perfect LO to create with it! This is of my Most Valuable Peanut wearing his basketball outfit! Such a super cutie! I also uploaded this LO to Echo Park's Facebook Page. Make sure to check it out and "Like" it!

Thanks for stopping by again!

How many LO's can I finish in a week??

Before I show my new LO's, I am very proud to say that two of my LO's have done an awesome job! My Super Star LO was featured at Lasting Memories, my wedding LO was featured at Scrap Our Stash, and won Elle's Studio 8.4 Challenge!

Now on to today's LO. This first one is inspired by Shimelle's Hot Pink Hoopla Challenge and Bingo Cards and Butterflies Challenge. I used Sketches in Thyme's Sketch #53.

\

This is another LO of my God Daughter who's in the Philippines. She loves posing for the Camera and taking pics, yet she's so shy! I wanted a customized pink Bingo Card for this, so I created my own. Mahal means Love in Tagalog. I wanted to keep things simple!

This next one is inspired by Burlaps and Buttercups' Sketch with a Twist. The twist is to use brads and buttons. The title and journaling was inspired by Scrap it With a Song's Fun, Fun, Fun Challenge.

I tried to think of a unique way to use buttons. I also did a slight twist to "Fun, Fun, Fun."

The brads surround the orange circle. I used some song lyrics on my journaling below.

I have recently fallen in love with Cosmo Cricket! This is 90% Cosmo Cricket, with Bazzil Cardstock as the base, Twine from Boxer Scrapbooks, and buttons from my Stash.

The final LO is inspired by Sketches in Thyme Take #54. This is my little guy when he was 6 days old.

Here I used some braiding cord for the buttons.

I wanted to do something different and wrap some ribbon around the safety pin.

This final project is something special. My husband and I haven't gone out on a date night since we found out we were pregnant. I was plagued with horrible morning sickness for the first few months, and I started to grow pretty early, so it was uncomfortable for me to go anywhere. I wanted to do something special.

Three and a half weeks until I go back to work! How many more projects can I crank out? Also, make sure you check out Sherrie's awesome giveaway!

Thanks for stopping by!
